Excess Fat distribution alerts for Health risk..

Red alert!!
Body Fat is alarming High!!!

Increased weight is due to accumulation of excessive body fat deposited in upper / lower part of the body.

When excess fat has accumulated to the extent, that it may have negative impact on our health, that’s the medical condition called Obesity .

Excess fat makes our body voluminous without shape. Body fatness is an important physiological issue in human beings. It decreases our metabolism rate, makes us look larger day by day, challenges our cognitive ability, limits our career choices.

Consequences of excess Fat distribution.

Body fat location is an important variable in assessing the metabolic as well as mortality consequences of excessive fat accumulation.

Body fat distribution to the lower half of the body, with more fat deposited in the peripelvic (gluteal), hips, buttocks and thighs is observed in women known as a “gynecoid” (or pear shaped).

Conversely, those with an android (apple shape ) body type may have greater girth in the upper part of body around the chest , abdomen, shoulder and nape of the neck observed in men, is associated with an increased risk for coronary heart disease, diabetes, metabolic syndrome, and also gallstones and gout.

Research shows that people with “apple-shaped” bodies (more weight around the waist) face more health risks than those with “pear-shaped” bodies (more weight around the hips).

waist to hip ratio is an easy but not entirely accurate way to measure your visceral fat. More specifically, both visceral fat accumulation and an expanded girth have been associated with development of insulin resistance, diabetes, and risk for coronary heart disease and hypertension.

Accumulation of fat in the abdominal area appears to correlate best with triacylglycerols accumulating in the liver and skeletal muscle.
